Local Guide to Beaumaris & Anglesey

Just yards from the beach and pier, The Bulkeley Hotel sits alongside the Menai Straits with unrivalled views across the water to the mountains of Snowdonia.

Explore

Beaumaris is a beautiful old town on the eastern side of the historic Island of Anglesey (Ynys Mon, Mother of Wales), a ramble of shops, dwellings, museums, attractions, tea houses, pubs and restaurants, with the famous 13th Century Castle in its centre.

Go Fishing

The Victorians established sailing in Beaumaris, ‘The Cowes of the North’ and several fleets of classic yachts still sail from the town today.

The sea fishing is some of the finest in Britain. There are eleven golf courses close by and seven National Trust properties.

Or Just Relax!

Alternatively you could simply sit on a beach and look at the view or immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of history that saturates this area of North Wales.
